Romans  6.1, 2 (NIV)
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
His Forgiveness is for the purpose of making us Hate our Sins.*
I once heard an unwed mother say that she planned to have more babies because the more children she had, the more money she got from Welfare. She didn’t understand that the more children she had, the more money she needed. That was not a very solid financial plan.

God’s grace is sort of the same as the foolish mother’s plan. The more we sin, the more grace we receive. But God’s grace isn’t like money in the bank that draws interest. God’s grace is sufficient for all our sins – there is no way to generate more than enough of it and we can’t stockpile it to cover future sins.

The wrong attitude toward God’s abundant grace could lead us to become like Paul’s audience who believed that as long as a Christian had faith it made no difference what kind of life he lived.* Being “dead to sin” means that we are “freed both from the guilt and from the power of it.”* As children of the King, how can we even consider returning to our old life of slavery to sin?
Don’t confuse grace with indifference toward sin.*
